Looking Ahead to 2026 at Nervosa Games

Before we begin, I want to start by apologising for my lack of communication during the latter half of 2025. It has been over six months since we last posted an update, and while I have been busy behind the scenes, I am very aware that the website has been a little quiet.

Many of you will know that Nervosa Games is not yet a full-time endeavour, although I put as much time into it as I can around other responsibilities. Over the past few months, I have been working hard on several projects, some of which I will talk about today and others that I will expand upon in the future. So, once again, apologies for the radio silence. That ends now.

Tribal Conquest Advanced Rules Modules

First and foremost, I have been designing, planning, and playtesting three major releases for Tribal Conquest. Our primary focus for 2026 is the continued growth of the game, with three Advanced Rules Modules planned, each exploring a different pillar of play.

Each of these releases will receive its own dedicated blog post in the future, expanding on their features in more detail, but for now, here is a brief look at what is coming.

Advanced Rules Module #4: Ascension Campaign

Ascend to godhood or watch your rivals do so, as up to four tribes battle for the ultimate prize. This campaign framework focuses on long-term progression, narrative consequences, and the rise of truly legendary Shamans.

Advanced Rules Module #5: Conjuration Spellbook

Summon elemental creatures to attack your foes and conjure spells that have a physical presence on the battlefield. This module expands the magic system, leaning into preparation, positioning, and battlefield control.

Advanced Rules Module #6: Vehicles

Traverse the battlefield using mounts and vehicles. Cross the seas in sailing boats or take to the skies in hot air balloons, introducing new tactical options and cinematic moments to your games.

Expanding the Tribal Conquest Range

Alongside rules content, we will be significantly expanding the Tribal Conquest range itself. This includes:

  • Alternative sculpts for existing units, allowing for greater visual variety within tribes

  • Brand new units that broaden tactical and narrative options, outside of those introduced in new Advanced Rules Modules

  • Reference cards

  • Objective markers

  • Tokens and other useful markers

Our aim is to ensure that new releases enhance the game without overwhelming it, while also providing practical tools that make play smoother and more enjoyable.

A New Dev Blog for Usurper

We will also be launching a dedicated development blog for our next game, Usurper.

Usurper is a 10mm fantasy battle system focused on large-scale conflicts, formation play, and the rise and fall of kingdoms. Throughout 2026, the dev blog will explore its design philosophy, core mechanics, world-building, and early playtesting insights. This will be an open and honest look at how the game is taking shape, and we are excited to finally start sharing more about it.

Collaborations and New Projects

Beyond rules and miniatures, we are also working on several collaborative projects. One of the most exciting is the launch of a podcast, where we will be talking openly about game design, indie development, and the realities of creating tabletop games in today’s industry. More details on this, and our other collaborations, will be shared very soon.

Thank You

None of this would be possible without the continued support, feedback, and enthusiasm of the community. 2026 is about deepening what already exists, expanding responsibly, and building tools, stories, and systems that stand the test of time.

We cannot wait to show you what is coming next.
